Treasurer's Report: |
The WTF will be processing the YTH meal monies within the next 2 weeks. |
BOCS is still working with the CPA on the 501(C) re-certification.

| Old Business: |
Still no reply from Congressman Hill’s office concerning getting the framed bridge print directly to Mr. Hill. |
Gravel has been stockpiled at the outdoor classroom. Dave B will contact Bill H concerning spreading said gravel. |
The October meeting is this year’s annual meeting. Jim L will create a letter for Lori to email to BOCS members, and request they RSVP so that an amount of pizza can be figured on. |

| A new intern came aboard today. |
| The meal at the picnic starts at 5:00pm - all attending must go to the Refuge office to get a gate pass before going to the lake. |
| The lake’s water level is being dropped so that a leak can be repaired. |
| The Refuge tractor is broken down. |
| The Refuge is busy closing budgets. |
| The fire season starts the 15th. |
| Deer are dying from Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (Bluetongue). This disease is carried by a no-see-um type of fly (midge). Cold weather stops this viral disease. |
| Archery season starts October 13 - the Refuge needs help with these hunts, and is prepared to pay a small daily stipend to those helping. |
New Business: |
Another cook is needed for the upcoming annual fish-fry. Van drivers are needed. Dianne Carson will chair the fish-fry meal. |
Robert Miller, from the Central Muscatatuck Watershed told us about a watershed project in the surrounding counties. He is here to obtain the community’s help with his work of gathering water data, etc. Hoosier Hills is sponsoring this project. There is a community meeting scheduled for October 4th at the Madison-Jefferson County Library. |
